Hi, beautiful! Thank you for visiting my blog. I’d like to tell you a little story about my journey and why I started Love Nourish Inspire.
I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (CNP) and wellness advocate. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been health conscious, trying my best to stay active and eat healthy.
In my early twenties I struggled with what I didn’t know was an eating disorder. I experimented with a variety of different diets, while eating to look a certain way and not necessarily to feel amazing or nourished. This left me frustrated and unhappy, not to mention resulted in health concerns including indigestion, bloating, and periods of low energy. In an effort to find out what worked for my body, I spent a great deal of time exploring answers to my own health concerns.
After careful research I made a decision to return to school and build on my knowledge of nutrition. During this time I was inspired by many individuals in my field that came from similar struggles and used their knowledge to help others. I too wanted to create an outlet where I could share my passion and knowledge with the world; inspiring and teaching others to go back to basics and focus on a plant-based, whole-food diet.
I believe that food is more than just nutrition! It’s for the sake of enjoyment, sharing, celebrating, culture, and so much more. I also believe that wellbeing is not merely related to what you put in your body but also how you feed your mind and what you think (your body and life are a reflection of your thoughts and behaviors).
Using the knowledge I gained during yoga teacher training and my deep connection with the practice of mediation, I created daily mindful practices and healthy habits that have helped me to overcome my own struggles. With these tools I’ve learned that everything starts with accepting and loving yourself as you are NOW (and that’s where the real magic happens).
My goal is to inspire and guide you to go back to your roots, eat foods that make you feel amazing from the inside out, and provide you with ways to promote your wellbeing so that you can go out there and feel AWESOME. ❤
With love,
Yassi Xox
